A communication inclusive spaces framework poster has been developed for early years settings and schools.

The Balanced System® Speech Language and Communication (SLC) Pathway helps staff and families access the right support at the right time. It includes information and advice to engage parents and wider family members as children’s first communication partners and also local and national information and advice on SLC concerns or needs.

An easy read guide to communication has been developed by young people in Leicester city’s participation groups

Children and young people’s right to express their views and have those views taken into account lies at the heart of our Leicester approach to SLC support.

The speech, language and communication strategy 2021-2025 webpage provides more information on our city-wide vision and partnership approach.
